XVIII Horse Racing for the Jewel Castellón

Gurugú Beach will host next Sunday from 11.00 to 13.00 hours the XVIII edition of The Jewel Races with the participation of about 30 horses crossed ,purebred Arab and English . The first will travel 500 meters, while the second and third will travel between 800 and 1000 meters.
These races,  were very popular in century XIX. The prize jewel or race was a bright silk scarf knotted color to a bouquet of flowers. Joya races are part of exaltation of the beauty of the horse and the competition involved three types of horses.


Participating horses Valencia, Castellón and Tarragona. There will be three heats in each race sleeves, winners will receive a cash prize, a trophy and a handkerchief and participants must submit, at the time of registration, the primer and veterinary control of the horse.
