CHICAGO is a mixture of black comedy and drama prison, a veritable institution on Broadway and on the basis of which the famous film of the same name won several Oscars and hit with the public. Written by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music by John Kander, Chicago has won, including six Tony Awards and a Grammy.
Set amid the extravagant decadence of the 20, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two ambitious women imprisoned for crimes of passion, struggling to gain the favor of Billy Flynn, a famous lawyer who uses the tabloid press to secure the release of their clients. Both will face to get fame at all costs.
