The Mystery of Elche 2011 (Alicante)

 The Mystery of Elche, is a representation of medieval roots, divided in two acts" The morning and the party "being held on 14 and 15 August respectively at the Basilica of Santa Maria, from 17:00. This work represents the death, assumption and coronation of the Virgin Mary. it is a unique work, not only for being the only one who has kept alive until today despite the ban the Council of Trent to represent works in churches and the various histories that have taken place over more than six hundred years, but for its amazing scenic beauty and music. All this earned him the recognition by UNESCO in 2001 as a Masterpiece, Oral and Intangible Heritage of humanity.
